family coaching trip

Our three-day, intensive group program is aimed at families in crisis who want to develop new solutions together with others.

Traveling together. Growing together.

Sometimes you need a change of scenery to gain new perspectives. family coaching trip is a family-strengthening intensive program, in which families go on a three-day trip together to the Berlin area – with the aim of deepening their relationships, reflecting on challenges and discovering new ways of living together.

The journey is based on the method of Multifamily therapy (MFT) and creates a protected space in which Parents, children and young people rediscover themselves and other families, learn from each other and strengthen each other.

Goals of the family coaching journey

  • Strengthening family relationships
  • Promoting mutual understanding between parents and children
  • development of new communication and action patterns
  • Finding solutions together on individual family issues
  • Transfer of successful experiences into everyday life

How does the trip work?

Drive twice a year six to eight families together with four experienced multi-family trainers for three days in the Berlin area. The groups are mixed in age, diverse, and reflect diverse family realities.

In advance, goals for the family coaching trip are developed with the families. At a preliminary meeting, the families get to know each other, receive important information and can ask their questions.

The days are clearly structured:

Following the trip, a follow-up meeting will take place to strengthen the sustainability of the family coaching trip and give families an opportunity to stay in touch.

  • Twice daily finding MFT sessions where each family can bring in their individual topics and work on them in the group.
  • Shared Meals, leisure activities and games promote a sense of community and enable exchange at eye level.
  • In Observation and practice phases Families can try out new behaviors and receive appreciative feedback.

Following the trip there will be a Follow-up meeting to strengthen the sustainability of the family coaching journey and to give families an opportunity to stay in touch.

In a individual evaluation interview The trip will be discussed with the families in order to support the transfer of positive experiences into everyday life

What makes the family coaching journey special?
